ILLUSTRATIONS
I am the author of all the designs for my brand ZE POLITA.
For me, it is about illustrating my passion for Basque culture, my concerns on subjects such as the environment, living together but also more poetic proposals resulting from a mixture of inspirations from elsewhere, always looking for the point of friction with my present moment.
The techniques I use are multiple but everything often starts with a pencil and a blank sheet of paper!
Clothing is one of the best exhibition media in the world, so there is no question of just making it decorative, there is always a little story behind each design.

PAPER PIRATE
A graphic wave in reference to that of Kanagawa, a famous Japanese print by the painter, Hokusai.
In the Basque Country we immediately think of the giant wave called the Belharra.
In the background a small piece of mountain which will remind you here of the Rhune which we see from the ocean.

EGUZKILORE
"Etxea" in Basque means home. A more than problematic subject in our beautiful region: having your own home becomes a dream but also a need that is too often inaccessible because of over-tourism and real estate speculation.
On the door of houses in the Basque Country, tradition dictates that an "eguzkilore" is hung to protect against the evil eye.

1 poppy, 2 poppies, 3 poppies, LOTS of poppies!
The choice of this flower, as beautiful as it is ephemeral, which is offered to the bees is like a wish: "Milesker (thank you in Basque) for the flowers!" For me, for you, for them (the bees), for us. Because there are no bees without flowers and no wild flowers if there are unclear substances...
