"MAITASUNA" means LOVE in Basque.
You know, the feeling that's not at all fashionable in this brutal world!
In public debate, much more time is devoted to finding the right reasons to feel the exact opposite toward others ...
So this illustration will probably come across as opportunistic (yes, it was released just before Valentine's Day, perhaps still a time of year when every human being could reflect on their own relationship with this innate feeling), or even as somewhat naive and outdated ... but I fully embrace that.
With the ZE POLITA brand, I mainly aim to illustrate and share positive things with you, as an exhortation to DO GOOD, because I believe in it!
So "MAITASUNA ETA KITTO*!" because that's what we should all seek deep down in our short lives: in every form, each of us in our own way and with whomever we choose; LOVE for ourselves and for what we accomplish every day, LOVE for the other human beings with whom we share our days, but also for everyone else, LOVE for our environment and for other living beings ... *LOVE, AND THAT'S ALL!"
The design: children's hooded sweatshirt
- Hood lined with the main fabric
- Single jersey tape
- Half-moon panel in the main fabric at the back of the collar with 3 mm double stitching
- Set-in sleeves
- Single stitching at the neckline
- 1x1 ribbing at the sleeve hems and bottom hem
- Kangaroo pocket with 3 mm single stitching
- Double stitching at the armholes, sleeve hems, and bottom hem
Composition
Shell: Brushed fleece, 100% cotton – Organic Ring Spun Combed, washed panels
Fabric color: Black
Screen-printed in shades of pink and red* by hand by us using water-based inks.
*The colors of the designs may differ slightly from those shown in the photo due to our artisanal printing technique, making each piece almost unique!
