The design: PAPER PIRATE

A graphic wave inspired by the one in Kanagawa, the famous Japanese woodblock print by the painter Hokusai.

In the Basque Country, it immediately evokes the giant wave known as Belharra.

In the background, a small section of mountain that may bring to mind La Rhune, visible from the ocean.

And finally, an origami-style paper boat, proudly flying a childlike pirate flag, seems to sail effortlessly, cheekily defying the many surfers trying to tame the waves of the Basque Country.
